BEGINNERS  HATHA YOGA
All Classes are suitable for beginners unless otherwise stated.
Class Descriptions

Gentle, stretching exercises designed to strengthen, relax, and revitalize the body, mind, and spirit. Instructors lead a series of exercises, teach correct breathing, and guide relaxation techniques - all to assist in the process of untangling the myriad of knots stored within your physical and emotional being. Hatha Yoga tunes the glandular and nervous systems, limbers the spine, increases circulation, and tones internal muscles and organs. Students leave their Hatha Yoga classes feeling relaxed, refreshed and revitalized. Unless otherwise noted, all classes are taught at a mixed level simultaneously and are suitable for beginners and intermediate students. Classes listed as Intermediate are not recommended for first time yoga students. Poses will be held longer & more challenging postures will be introduced.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:
Yoga Basics
A learning laboratory good for beginners who want a solid understanding of the alignment that supports yoga postures and for experienced practitioners who want to go deep into postures and explore and dissect them in order to come out of habitual ways of holding and being in postures and into the precise alignment that will reveal the true center -- the true self.

Vinyasa Yoga
In Vinyasa style, classical hatha yoga postures are sequenced to provide a steady, slow flowing movement. Proper breathing and focus of attention is developed in each posture as well as in each transition movement connecting the postures. After each posture sequence, a pause is incorporated for reflection, rest and the integration of energy. Flow yoga is strengthening, energizing, and relaxing. Classes listed as Intermediate are not recommended for first time yoga students. Poses will be held longer & more challenging postures will be introduced.

Children's Yoga
Children are engaged in an hour of playful, creative, and natural movement. Yoga develops good coordination, posture, strength, and healthy habits that teach children to release pent-up energy. Children's classes are offered in two (2) four-week sessions.
